Use the controller you already own with the trainer app you actually ride.

BikeControl (formerly SwiftControl) is an app for iOS, Android, Windows, and macOS that connects a physical controller — a Zwift Click, Zwift Play, Shimano Di2 or SRAM AXS lever, a gamepad, or a plain Bluetooth button — to the trainer app you actually ride in, including Zwift, MyWhoosh, Rouvy, TrainingPeaks Virtual, Biketerra, and Strappo. It adds virtual shifting, steering, workout controls, and media and OS shortcuts to setups that would otherwise have none, and it can add virtual shifting to a smart trainer that has no shifter at all. BikeControl is free to try, is made by OpenBikeControl UG (haftungsbeschränkt) in Germany, and its source code is public at github.com/OpenBikeControl/bikecontrol.

BikeControl bridges your physical controllers to every trainer app — Zwift, MyWhoosh, Rouvy, TrainingPeaks and more. Virtual shifting, steering, music, OS control. All from your handlebars.

Frequently asked questions

What is BikeControl, and why does it exist?

Many of the new generation trainers only support gear changes via virtual shifting, usually implemented by a Zwift Cog. With it, you often receive a Zwift Click device — a small hardware device that acts as a remote. BikeControl enables you to use it with any trainer app — and not only Zwift Clicks, but many other devices as well.

Can I trust BikeControl?

The App/Play Stores already include many security checks. What I can offer to earn your trust is that BikeControl is open source! Check it out at https://github.com/OpenBikeControl/bikecontrol/

I don't have a controller device yet. Which one would you recommend?

I would advise against Zwift Click devices. They are proprietary and can stop working at any time. I sincerely hope Zwift changes its stance on this and makes its devices open and available for everyone.

What is OpenBikeControl?

BikeControl is part of OpenBikeControl - which is in the process of creating new and affordable controllers. Learn more at https://openbikecontrol.org/

Does using BikeControl break my trainer app's terms?

BikeControl doesn't modify, patch, or inject anything into your trainer app. It reads your controller over Bluetooth and sends the same standard inputs the app already accepts — keyboard, touch, or a normal Bluetooth controller. MyWhoosh, Rouvy and TrainingPeaks Virtual support BikeControl officially. For apps without an official integration, BikeControl is doing what a keyboard does.
