How to get virtual shifting on the Tacx Neo 2T

  1. Install BikeControl

    Install BikeControl on iOS, Android, Windows, or Mac.

  2. Pair the Tacx Neo 2T

    Pair the Tacx Neo 2T directly to BikeControl over Bluetooth.

  3. Add a controller

    Pair a controller — a Zwift Click, Play, Di2 levers, SRAM AXS, or any of the others BikeControl supports.

  4. Configure gear ratios

    Customize gear ratios inside BikeControl to match your real bike or preferred range.

  5. Start your app

    Start any trainer app and ride. BikeControl changes resistance at the Tacx Neo 2T as you shift, so the app does not need virtual shifting of its own.

Which apps can I use with the Tacx Neo 2T?
Any of them. BikeControl changes resistance at the trainer rather than asking the app to shift, so virtual shifting works in Zwift, MyWhoosh, Rouvy, TrainingPeaks and Biketerra alike — including apps with no native virtual shifting.
Can I customize the gear ratios?
Yes. Gear configurations are fully customizable in BikeControl with 1 to 30 gears, named configurations, and a drag-to-tune curve preview.
Is virtual shifting free in BikeControl?
BikeControl’s own virtual shifting is a Pro feature. Without Pro you can try it for 20 minutes a day, a daily trial of Pro. Pro has no daily limit and costs about $2.50 a month (less when billed yearly); each store sets its own regional price.
